The CMA held its first Annual  Holiday Scholarship Gala on Dec. 18  at the Five Seasons Country Club, 11790, Snider Rd (Symmes Township),OH. The event,  said the new CMA president, Dr. Bradley S. Jackson,  "will serve to raise funds to support minority medical students in need of financial assistance."


Eleven African Americans Graduate from UC Medical Center

During its Annual Senior Banquet held May 21, 2004 at the Quality Hotel and Suites in Norwood (OH), the SNMA (Student National Medical Association) highlighted the lives and accomplishments of the eleven African-American students who graduated as physicians from the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.  Dr. Keith Melvin, a well known physician practitioner in the city, delivered the keynote speech during the event attended by many relatives and friends of the graduates.  Several CMA (Cincinnati Medical Association) physicians were also present. 

The new physicians are Brandon J. Bell, Teabra A. Dixon, Mfon Ekong, Gayla D. Gates, Selena E. Heman-Ackah, Robyn C. Iglehart, Atiba D. Jackson, Thomas James, Derrick E. Johnson, Jonathan T. Lucas, and Angela U. Tucker.
